Aeoniums do not like red-hot or dry conditions . They may go dormant in summertime and do not require any water except in desiccated conditions . In uttermost heat , their leave will curl to foreclose excessive water loss . Growing them in moist shade will keep them growing , but their unfeigned growth season is winter to spring when temperatures are cool ( 65–75˚F   / 18–24˚C ) and damp . In the winter , H2O whenever the grease has dry out out . Test by poking your finger down into the soil an inch or two . Too much moisture or allow them to sit in pissed filth will cause root decomposition . A sandy loam or even potting premix is good than a mix specifically for cacti and succulent , sinceAeoniums need some wet .
