Who needs flowers when you’ve got texture?
Upon visit my garden for the first metre , a designer friend of mine walked around shaking his psyche , saying , “ The grain , oh , the texture ! ” At first , I was n’t sure this “ texture ” he was speaking of was a good matter . It turns out he was reply to the fact that I layer different types of leafage .
To test your grain quotient , take several photos of your garden and seem at them on your computing machine in black and white . The broad, flat leaves of red Abyssinian banana provide contrast behind numerous spiky neighbors. The red foliage also presents a welcome complement to the surrounding shades of green.
