Lush plantings make a magical space
Cathy Bachara sent in today ’s pic from her garden in the Blue Ridge mountains in southwesterly Virginia .
Densely plant perennial make a full , lush garden and leave small room for weed to grow . In the foreground , pink - flowered spotted deadnettle ( Lamiummaculatum , Zones 3–8 ) weaves its way through the other perennial , covering the dirt with beautiful foliage and flowers .
Stone paths conduce through the garden , with views of the beautiful good deal landscape beyond .

Intensely colored hybridconeflowers(Echinaceahybrid , Zones 4–8 ) resound the people of colour of the Oriental lily ( Liliumhybrid , Oriental group , Zones 5–9 ) beyond them .
Purple coneflowers ( Echinaceapurpurea , Zones 3–8 ) fuse withornamental grassesand yellow threadleaf cypress ( Chamaecyparispisifera‘Filifera Aurea ’ , Zones 4–8 ) to create a romantic , naturalistic display .
A simple wooden bridge deck stretch across thewater feature , with views of the mountains beyond .

Who would n’t want to get a massage in this magical , relaxing garden ?
