Thanks also to those inland sea , as well as other factors , we have plentiful farmland and warm summers — in addition to lake force snow in winter .

Buffalonians havemanaged to overcome it , to some degree , by defiantly redefiningourselves as agarden destination . part because of that battle , we ’re harmonic to the other underdog throughout the Great Lakes region . Cleveland is a great metropolis , for example . Not only does it have one of the best art museumsin the USand the more recent Rock ’ n ’ Roll Hallof Fame , it’senveloped in 23,000 acres of parkland .

The body politic ’s eye will be turn to what’sshaping up to beabloodbathin Milwaukee , amount July , but , before that , June 18–21 , there is a kinder , gentler reason to inflict Wisconsin . The Annual Garden Blogger ’s Flingtakes placein Madison , WI , this year , and I , for one , ca n’t wait . I have been hearing great thing about Madison for years . Everyone I know who has visitedMadison haslovedit . Though located Benjamin West of Lake Michigan , the city is plant in four small lakes ( or are the lakes engraft in the city?),so there must be body of water views everywhere . It has eight Frank Lloyd Wright structures ( hegrew up and studied here)and plenty of other prominent architecture . Oh yes , and garden .

There is one space that , on the surface , sounds unremarkable , even banal , but once youactually hearit described , it ’s jaw - drop fourth dimension . Epic Systemsis a healthcare software program party . ItsMadisoncorporateheadquarters hasanover - the - toplandscapethat must be fancy to be believed . There ’s a castle , a treehouse , a barn , gravel gardens , sculpture , and more . Ca n’t wait for this one .
