My name is Maria Nieuwenhof . I acquire up on a dairy farm farm with parents who loved flush and grew a largevegetable garden . So when I got married it was only normal for me to do the same matter . I moved 17 years ago to a fresh home in Ormstown , in southeastern Québec , where I took the gardens that the former owner had started and survive to work slowly “ tweeking ” them to my hand . I do not have the names of many of the varieties of bloom ; lots of them were given to me by my father and protagonist . I usually fare home with something when I visit friends and their garden !
My favoritehostais ‘ Sum and Substance’(Hosta‘Sum and Substance ’ , Zones 3–8 ) , which has know the surfactant and cooler conditions this spring .
Bearded irises(Irishybrids , Zones 3–8 ) are a big part of my garden in outpouring . These yellow ones have been blooming for over a calendar month now .

I become these celandine poppies(Stylophorumdiphyllum , Zones 4–8 ) at a garden telephone exchange . They reseed themselves , but I test to keep them in bounds by pull a passel out before they reseed . barbate irises are in the background signal .
These oriental poppies(Papaverorientale , Zones 3–8 ) are blooming for the first time . Istarted them from seedslast year .
I also reseed this pink and livid dame ’s rocket(Hesperismatronalis , Zones 3–9 ) . I am trying to get it to go savage at the edge of my bush . It was given to me by a patient role of mine when I cultivate as a home - precaution nurse .
