Our educational booth this bound is focalize on peppers , so of course we had to plant some capsicum in the video display garden . ( There will be many more at our booth inside . ) Our trilateral garden ( right on the corner with a beautiful hydrangea tree in it ) has several pretty Piper nigrum planted with celosia . By fair time , it will be lush and lovely .
Our street - shaft garden also has an edible theme with honeyberries , edible marigolds , alpine strawberry , amaranth and dahlias .

Ornamental peppers add contrast to an annual bed.
We are working on an apple Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree guild using permaculture principles in the Malus pumila tree garden . There is more workplace to be done there , but permaculture is a multi - year effort and we ’ll continue flourish it next year . We also have a garden fill with goji berries , a kiwi vine , herbs , yarrow , Echinacea and comfrey .
We still have our Minnesota - hardy roses raise in one of the beds , though like many Twin Cities gardener , we have been reach hard with Japanese mallet there . gratefully , the beetles should be gone by fair - meter , though some of their legal injury may still be visible .
As in yr ’s past tense , the pool garden will show how soothing a piddle garden can be . ( It ’s a great place to relax when the clean gets to be too overwhelming ! ) And , our pollinator spaces will be in their full , early free fall resplendence .

These ‘Sven’ roses look perfect, but check out the bloom on the far right. Argh!! Beetles.
We could never create a garden this beautiful without donations of materials and meter . Inspired Design Landscapesinstalled and designed the pool , as it has in the past . Plant donations came from our friends at Minnesota Green andWagners Greenhouses and Garden Center .
Good Ole ’ Hempof St. Cloud donated hemp mulch , which we are testing in three of the beds . Hemp is a light - brown mulch that is said to increase water memory and preclude sess growth because the fibers stick to together as the mulch get blotto . It will be interesting to see how this merchandise works at the garden .
