A rocky, shaded site filled with plants
Today ’s garden photos come from Tanya Forbes of Lee ’s Summit , Mo. She wrote :
We bought this lot in 1991 , the year my married man retired . It was April . Between the Bedford lime formations and a row of redbuds in full bloom , we were sell immediately . We moved in August , and I struggled for three years with the garden , but nothing seemed to mould . We had non-white shade . Finally I copied some gardens with sullen refinement and got started . My garden is one step below the retaining rampart . We had to put a span the first yr to connect the stone . A deck of cards associate to another rock , then the footstep go down to a lower level . We built a rock wall on the back side of one rock and make full in with ground so that I would have four flower beds on the main level . The lower point is still a work in progress . We put in a new walkway last year , and I created a room down there . We have two other bridges that need to be replaced this yr .
I grow hosta on top of all the rock candy , and I drop a luck on Liquid Fence , which I spray every nighttime to keep the cervid aside . There is a ravine behind us with lots of woods and lot of deer who make out hostas ! I have two atomic number 27 blue bottle tree , and all my pots and my fountain are cobalt blue , with a few yellow .

Dramatic limestone formation were a selling point for this garden ! Now steps moderate down through the stone to the lower grade .
H2O hyacinth ( Eichhorniacrassipes ) fills a small urine feature with floating leaves and beautiful flush . In zone 9 and warmer , this plant life is repeated and an invasive weed . But in cold climates , it it can be uprise as an yearly , and the cold wintertime ensure it never becomes invasive .
atomic number 27 blue is a theme throughout the garden , as in this bright bottleful tree .

A corner between roots makes a perfect site for a fairy garden .
Hostasare key to make a beautiful display in this deeply shaded garden .
Hosta plantaginea(August lily , Zones 3–9 ) fetch bright bloodless , highly fragrant blooms to the garden in late summer .

After look up to the beautiful industrial plant , you could take a moment to practice your putting !
