A quick revaluation this calendar month . There is not a huge amount of action , given the fourth dimension of year , but here is what there is .
Not yet sown
This is a farsighted list and it will get longer . There will be four broad categories .
Here is what I have in the first class :

There are more annuals in that inclination than I normally bother with , but the 4th mountain from the Hardy Plant Society will balance that out , they ’ll all be perennials . Sown , germinating , not yet pricked out .
I sow the lupins ( left ) a dyad of weekends back , they are doing nicely . The others are dull , I am expecting more to come through . I have been procrastinating about sting them out , but I shall get on with it this weekend .
With some help from # 4 Child , I have sown another hatful of gratifying pea plant . 8 or 9 day in , just one has poked its head up so far , so they can remain in the heated bench for now . They are in a very meretricious set of root trainers which should suit them , sweet peas like a deep root runnel . In fact , the use of starting them off betimes before the spring is to give them a chance to build up a warm deep solution web . I must bribe another set of ascendent flight simulator , after several age of re - use , these are beginning to come down asunder .
Pricked out .
The poppy ‘ cherry vortex ’ have been in their private pots for a couple of weeks , they are looking fine and nifty .
The nigella are also looking good , they ’ve grown on a fair act since last time .
The althea are grow on OK , one set up more so than the other , but I seem to have lost a few , probably to damping off . Most look strong though , and I have redundant cum to seed another good deal unmediated in the leap should these not thrive .
The calendula are still expect leggy , even after I cleaned the surrounding panes of glass , inside and out . Ingrates ! I think my next row of action is to re - pot them deeper .
The flame nettle have also grown on a just turn since last sentence , they are beginning to pack out the half - tray I moved them to . The right deal photo is from a calendar month ago .
There is a flake of moss or something take form on the surface of many of the pots . I am likely over - water them for the time of year . I think I will remove the top stratum of compost and replace with some sand , makes it harder for liverwort and the similar to take up residence . Another job for the weekend . At least it will be indoors .
Finally , the sweet peas I sowed a couple of months or so back are heed their own business in the cold - frame . I have swipe them out once or twice . They look a small moth - eaten , lick I wait . I ’ve jerry rig a little funding to stop them founder about too much .
That ’s the state of the nation seed - wise . Things will bug out to get silly from January forward !
