While standing out from the gang is nice for a while , really , they ’d love the crowd to step up and link them . Globally , floriculture is incredibly damaging to people and the environment . The pesticides , antifungal , plant food , preservative , dye , and myriad other chemical substance used in growing burn efflorescence on an industrial scale are nothing curt of disastrous to the health of flower workers and ecosystem . Thankfully , the sustainable flower movement is gathering tempo – with the caveat that there is currently a lot of greenwash use to the flower industry . At Organic Blooms , they were recently thrilled to host some of the most influential and knowing movers and shaker from across the industry for a conference about raise sustainability within the UK grower - flower store sector .
